Third Thursday Event And Spanish Language Tour Set At PTAC

BARTLESVILLE, OK – Price Tower Arts Center teams up with Casa Hispana of Bartlesville to offer a gallery concert on Thursday, February 18th at Price Tower Arts Center.

The evening will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will include a Spanish language tour of the current exhibition, Lights! Camera! Fashion!:  The Film Costumes of Edith Head.  Musical guests, Mariachi Tulsa, will perform between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the Taliesin Room of Price Tower Arts Center.

“This will be our third event with Casa Hispana.  They always bring in a large, multi-generational group of people and we really enjoy working with them,” said Price Tower Marketing Manager Debra Woodall.

The gallery concert is part of the First Friday and Third Thursday events being held each month at Price Tower Arts Center.

“We see these concerts as a way to open Price Tower Arts Center to a wider audience and to give the public a chance to hear regional talent,” said Price Tower Arts Center Executive Director Timothy Boruff.  “The first Friday of each month we look to have an event in Copper Bar and on the third Thursday of each month, we will have an event in our gallery.”

On Thursday evening, Price Tower Arts Center Curator Scott Perkins will conduct a tour of the exhibition with the Spanish translation provided by Mili Cappellitti, the executive director of Casa Hispana.  The tour will last from 5:45 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.  The evening will include light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.  There will also be special membership opportunities.

The event is free to members of Price Tower Arts Center and Casa Hispana.  Others may attend for $5.  For more information call Price Tower Arts Center at 918-336-4949 or visit pricetower.org.
